But what truly inspires us? How do we translate love stories into tangible moments? And what is the heart of a Mediterranean wedding in our eyes? We’re sharing a few questions and answers to give you a taste of how we view wedding celebrations.

Weddings as Stories, Not Just Events

What is our earliest memory of witnessing a wedding that truly moved us?
It wasn’t the grandest wedding or the most extravagant. It was a simple gathering by the sea, where the couple exchanged vows as the sun dipped below the horizon. No dramatic setups—just beautiful florals, the sound of the waves, and the warmth of the people around them. That moment shaped the way we view weddings: as intimate, poetic experiences rather than staged productions.

If our wedding planning style were a mood board, what three elements would always be present?
For us, it’s always about natural textures—linen, wood, and handwoven fabrics. We also love folk nostalgia—old-world charm intertwined with contemporary elegance. Lastly, a sense of place—wherever we are, the environment itself guides the design, giving it an authentic, personal aura.

The Mediterranean Spirit of Celebration

How does living in Greece influence the way we design weddings?
For us, the Mediterranean has always been more than a backdrop; it’s a way of life, a way of seeing the world. Our approach is about embracing its raw, effortless beauty. The sun-scorched earth, the salty breeze, the scent of citrus and wild herbs, all these elements find their way into our wedding concepts. We love designing experiences that feel like an extension of the land itself.

Many couples ask: If you could describe your wedding style in a single Greek word, what would it be and why?
“Ζέστη (Zestí)”, it means warmth, both literally and metaphorically. Our weddings are filled with the warmth of summer air, golden light, and, most importantly, human connection. But “zestí” also brings to mind the word “zest,” one of our favorite ways to describe our events. We want them to have zest, energy and freshness that lingers long after the day has passed.

When couples ask us about our favourite part of a wedding day, we have to be honest, it’s never about the grand moments.
It’s about the quiet, in-between moments. The bride lacing up her shoes, a father’s glance before walking his daughter down the aisle, a couple stealing a moment for themselves under the stars. These fleeting, unscripted scenes hold more magic than any grand gesture.

Crafting Moments to Remember

How do we translate a couple’s love story into tangible design elements?
We start by listening, learning about their travels, their favourite scents, and the objects they cherish at home. A wedding shouldn’t feel like a set; it should feel like an extension of who they are. That’s why we favour handcrafted details, textiles with history, and flowers that grow in the very place they say “I do.”

What’s one detail couples often overlook that makes all the difference?
The tablescape. It’s where guests linger the longest, where stories unfold over good wine and candlelight. A well-thought-out table setting, imperfectly arranged flowers, textured linens, and artisanal ceramics, creates an atmosphere where time slows down.

Dreaming Beyond Tradition

If we could design a wedding with no budget constraints, what would it look like?
That vision could take many directions. However, we would love to create a wedding under the open sky, where the landscape itself is the décor—an abundance of local flowers and candlelight. Long tables beneath olive trees, linen table runners brushing against the earth, and an endless feast filled with the flavours of the region. And at the heart of it all, people, sharing, laughing, and truly present.

What kind of weddings do we hope to see more of in the future?Weddings intertwined with freedom. Weddings that feel lived-in rather than staged. Couples moving away from trends and focusing on what truly resonates with them. Fewer picture-perfect setups, more authenticity. More storytelling, less performance.

At Eventions, we don’t simply aspire to plan wedding celebrations in Greece, we create Mediterranean journals, pages filled with light, love, and a deep reverence for beauty. For those who believe a wedding should be a journey, not just a day, we strive to be the quiet architects behind the moments that will live in memory long after the last candle burns out.

Would you like to bring your own Mediterranean love story to life?
