This whimsical and Mediterranean destination wedding in Pylos turned heads with its modern yet timeless design and wonderful atmosphere. Pylos, Greece, is a stunning location for a wedding for several reasons. The picturesque landscapes, with the Ionian Sea’s deep blue waters and the area’s historical charm, create a romantic and enchanting atmosphere. The scenic beaches and ancient ruins provide a unique backdrop for a memorable celebration for Eleni and Alex who chose Greece as their wedding backdrop!

Pylos embodies the quintessential Mediterranean charm. The architecture reflects the region’s rich history, with a blend of traditional and historical elements that give the town a distinct Mediterranean character. The laid-back and leisurely pace of life, along with the friendly and welcoming locals, adds to the overall Mediterranean vibe, creating a perfect setting for a romantic and relaxed wedding celebration.
We simply adored Eleni’s wedding dress with a modern cut yet vintage details as in the intricate lacing and 20th century embroidery. Her dress was all about clean lines, a simple silhouette, and subtle details. A little wedding planner advice? This timeless elegance allows brides to look back on their wedding photos years later without feeling that their dress has gone out of style.
Flowers have the power to set the mood and create a specific ambience. Whether it’s a romantic and intimate setting or a lively and vibrant celebration, the choice of flowers and their arrangement can influence the overall atmosphere of each wedding. With Eleni and Alex, we focused on a modern garden flower design through the installation, arrangements and bouquet so that the wealth of the Mediterranean landscape of the region translated perfectly into the wedding day, bringing warmth and freshness to the overall design.
The ceremony took place on a wonderful viewpoint, overlooking the glistening sea. The floral arrangements were as if they just bloomed on the setting, making a natural backdrop for the vow exchange and creating amazing focal points that brought charm and vibrancy, drawing attention to key areas such as the altar and the aisle.
They guided the eyes and enhanced the focal points of the ceremony. We set the ceremony in a timeless manner, but using vintage Greek chairs (a staple in all Mediterranean countries, really) gave a certain vintage flair to the whole installation.
The ceremony was so beautiful and sweet. The charm of outdoor weddings is undeniable. The ceremony fully took advantage of the warm and sunny weather and the natural sunlight enhanced the vibrancy of colours, creating a cheerful and inviting atmosphere. To us, that’s the ultimate wedding dream!
A fantastic and modern approach to a wedding celebration? Have a private moment for the cake-cutting and some quiet time together as a way to reflect a thoughtful and intentional approach to savouring the significance of the day. For Eleni and Alex, a private cake cutting was a beautiful way for them to share a sweet moment together before the hustle and bustle of the celebration began. It’s a symbolic act that signifies the start of their journey as a married couple, and having this intimate experience allows them to focus on each other and the joy of the moment.
Mediterranean’s aesthetic appeal, both in terms of landscapes and cultural elements, contributes to a wedding experience that is not only visually stunning but also rich in sensory pleasures. We used modern elements like handwritten glass bottles as siting charts, to give the reception an authentic personality and a pop of colour.
Again, great flower design contributes to the overall aesthetics, symbolism, and atmosphere of a wedding. It enhances the visual and sensory experience, making the celebration more beautiful, meaningful, and memorable for the couple and their guests, especially in a setting as unique as this. For the seaside dinner setting, we followed the same whimsical and Mediterranean styling. From the ceremony to the reception, the well-coordinated floral elements tied the different aspects of the wedding together, creating a seamless and harmonious experience.
We set the table in organic ceramics from local pottery shops and artisans, crisp white linens and crystal glasses. The unique handwritten stationery with casual calligraphy and the vibrant flowers gave character to the dinner setting and impressed all guests. Can it get better than this for a dreamy celebration by the water?
Designing this wedding for Eleni and Alex was such a lovely experience. A wedding is not just a big event but a deeply personal and meaningful experience, prioritizing the couple’s connection and the essence of their union.
We wanted this wedding day to be a joyous occasion but also a true representation of Eleni and Alex’s love and commitment to each other – blooming with amazing flowers, of course! Seeing everyone laugh and dance was such a reward and the sweet breeze of summer made the atmosphere electrifying with love and hope. It was truly a night to remember. Cheers to Eleni and Alex and always celebrating love in a way that feels uniquely and authentically yours!

Hiring the Eventions is the best decision we made while planning our wedding. From the start, these girls were diligent, fun, laid back, and truly a pleasure to work with. We had a vision going into the planning process, and from start to finish they executed it to PERFECTION. Their industry knowledge and connections led us to legitimately all of our other vendors, who I’d also say were some of the best in the business. Our florists, DJ, photographer, lighting and sound team, caterer, etc were just a few of the vendors that they brought to us and made our event spectacular. I’m just sad I don’t have a reason to be in contact with this team anymore!!!! These are the BEST wedding planners in Greece and maybe the Mediterranean region.
