Stella & Nikos

This charming greek destination wedding on the lovely island of Symi in Greece was truly a true dream for Stella and Nikos. Hosting a destination wedding, especially in a unique and picturesque location like Symi Island, is always filled with several special and memorable elements — the ones a couple keeps in their hearts forever! The stunning landscapes, crystal-clear waters, charming architecture, and, of course, the lovely atmosphere of this celebration filled everyone with the sweetness of leisure summers in the Mediterranean.

Symi provided a beautiful backdrop for the wedding ceremony that charmed everyone, body and soul, and created a magical atmosphere that enhanced the overall destination wedding experience for the couple and their guests.

The island’s distinct culture, local traditions, and vibrant atmosphere made the celebration stand out from more traditional weddings, and staying true to the couple’s character made the whole event much more lovely and warm. Travelling to a destination like Symi adds an element of adventure and excitement to the wedding experience. Guests explored the island, participated in local activities, and made lasting memories beyond the wedding ceremony itself. We mean look at this portrait taken at the historical harbour of Symi!

The wedding preparations were authentically Greek, paying homage to the couple’s heritage. All the cultural customs and lovely wedding traditions gave the destination wedding in Greece its sweet taste.

We loved how the character of Symi Island gave this wedding such a unique character. What makes Symi’s architecture particularly beautiful is its attention to detail.

Ornate balconies, arched doorways, and decorative wrought ironwork add character and uniqueness to each building, making it a perfect destination wedding location in Greece. Symi’s buildings not only serve as aesthetically pleasing structures but also carry historical significance, reflecting the island’s prosperous maritime past. The architectural beauty is further accentuated by the scenic setting, where the charming buildings complement the stunning natural landscapes, including the iconic harbour and hillsides. We just love how all this bound with the wedding style, resulting in the most beautiful photos!

As tradition dictates in such circumstances (one of our favourite wedding things!) and following Greek wedding customs, it is considered bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding. Stella and Nikos met for the first time before their ceremony in the church and it was so romantic! Stella’s wedding flowers were a selection of wild blooms and garden greenery, perfect for the season and the vibe!

The carefully curated floral details not only adorned the venue with their graceful beauty but also evoked a feeling of purity and simplicity, crafting an ambience that seemed as though nature had artistically adorned the celebration. We aimed to imbue the entire environment with refreshing air, carefully choosing flower arrangements that captured a flawless blend of simplicity and sweetness. Each blossom was meticulously selected, introducing a hint of natural refinement to every setting.

The entire family of Stella walked alongside her in the sweetest wedding procession ever. The overall atmosphere exuded warmth and friendliness, making it impossible not to sense the genuine love not only between the couple but also among the families and everyone present!

We don’t know why a chapel wedding is always so romantic, especially in this little church in Symi. The couple was vibrant, and the authentic Greek wedding ceremony was sweet and intimate!

The combination of Symi’s architectural beauty with its stunning natural surroundings, including the harbour and hillsides, creates a postcard-perfect setting for the couple’s post-wedding portraits! We firmly believe that taking a little break for portraits before heading to the reception is perfect for catching your breaths and soaking up the moment!

The sound of waves, the reflection of light on the water, and the gentle breeze contributed to a romantic and tranquil atmosphere. This setting added a touch of magic and intimacy to the reception. The natural beauty of the water can enhance the overall ambience, creating a picturesque backdrop for the celebration.

The variety of colours and textures available in garden flowers allows for creative and personalized arrangements, matching wedding themes or colour schemes effortlessly. For Stella and Nikos’s wedding seasonal adaptability was the key advantage, as garden flowers are often readily available and at their freshest during the wedding season. This not only supports local floriculture but ensures a vibrant and beautiful display. We loved using garden flowers and beeswax candles to establish a direct connection to nature, bringing the outdoors’ beauty into the wedding venue and creating a fresh and inviting atmosphere.

We’re all about opting for a natural garden setting for a wedding. We visualised the concept in natural muted shades and fresh details. The blooms we chose, with their timeless elegance, added a classic and sophisticated touch to the overall aesthetic.

This destination wedding in Symi allowed our couple to seamlessly incorporate Greek traditions and customs into their celebration. Along with the handmade wedding favours, our favourite part was the garden flowers that along with fresh fruit combined elegance, variety, seasonal adaptability and a connection to nature, environmental friendliness, flexibility in arrangements, and a personal touch—resulting in the most beautiful and memorable wedding atmosphere.

We love using fresh fruit and seasonal produce in all our design concepts, adding freshness and colours in perfect harmony with the season and the landscape.

Everyone danced, laughed and had the time of their lives and the party went on and on until the morning!

From hugs and well-wishes to shared laughter and tears, the expressions of love from friends and family created an emotionally charged atmosphere. These genuine and heartfelt moments make Stella and Nikos’s wedding a truly sweet and love-filled occasion.

In the enchanting setting of Symi, surrounded by the azure waters and picturesque landscapes, this wedding became a beautiful story woven with love, laughter, and cherished moments.

The sweet atmosphere was not just a celebration of the union of two souls but a reflection of the warmth and joy shared with friends and family. From the charming architecture that framed the vows to the natural beauty that adorned every corner, Symi provided the perfect backdrop for a day filled with love and connection. As the sun set over the horizon, casting its golden glow on the celebration, the memories created here will forever linger, capturing the essence of a truly magical wedding in the heart of the Aegean.
