Ishna & Nishant

Ishna & Nishant had a vision of a paradise wedding weekend with their family and friends on the enchanting Greek island of Symi. The postcard-perfect islet in the Dodecanese has been the couple’s favourite holiday destination in Europe for years, and now, Ishna & Nishant chose this azure setting to celebrate their nuptials.

The couple’s energy and their Indian heritage, were, together with the outstanding views of the Greek island, a great inspiration for our team. Marrying Indian traditions with Greek elements, such as the scenic procession of the bride and groom to St. Marina church on their own boats, created a truly magical experience that left the couple and their guests with smiling faces, joyful hearts, and memories for life.

The couple greeted their guests at Symi port, with an assortment of gifts in a beach-inspired straw bag. The stylish bags filled with local products like natural sea sponges & the greek traditional wine pitcher as well as pestemal towels and a welcome note with an illustrated Symi map and a glimpse of the festivities to come. They also added a personal touch by including a tiny booklet with poems about love and their notes of their favourite eateries and attractions of Symi.

Since both Ishna and Nishant are of Indian descent, the vibrant traditions of an Indian wedding became a clear theme for the event. The stunning bride wore an opulent, bejeweled two-piece dress in gold and Spanish pink by Sabyasachi. The groom, in his impeccably tailored sherwani, a dress-matching turban, and a multi-strand emerald necklace, shared the spotlight, completing the couple’s look. In a kaleidoscope of saris, festive outfits and lush floral garlands, the bride & groom and their guests brought abundant Bollywood vibes to the island and made the scenery absolutely breathtaking.

The gorgeous couple tied the knot on a tiny secluded island, accessible only by small boats.

Upon the arrival, the 40 guests were treated with an assortment of locally-sourced artisanal delicacies, while quenching grapes, figs, fresh watermelon juice with ginger and lime, and of course chilled champagne, awaited at the personalised refreshment corner.

At this unique location, Ishna & Nishant shared their love poems amongst beloved family and friends with endlessly blue waters of the Aegean Sea and whitewashed walls of the St.Marina chapel as a backdrop for the ceremony.

After the ceremony, the guests continued to Ayia Marina beach restaurant, where an intimate, candlelit dinner and party were held.

Two big communal dinner tables were decorated with tiny succulents in terracotta pots alternated with pops of white & blush spray roses, lisianthus, & astilbe. Unique details, such as straw placemats and handwritten oyster shells as name tags infused this beautiful setting with a Mediterranean spirit.

The evening unfolded into a glamorous party filled with Bollywood dances, candid polaroid moments in the photo corner, and rice paper lanterns flying under the canopy of the summer-night stars… and a full moon!
