Beyza & Tomas

For a dreamy wedding in Symi, one must have bougainvillea. Beyza and Tomas thought just that when they envisioned their wedding on the quaint picture-perfect little island of Symi, a gem near Rhodes. The concept we created was an ode to our Mediterranean summers, always filled with hundreds of Fuschia blooms. It was a wedding day with music, a sunset ceremony in the port, and an authentic greek gastro experience in the twilight. Inspiring and colorful, this wedding in Symi was glowing with love!

Our lovely couple kickstarted their wedding weekend with a prewedding exploration trip around the island with their friends and family. It was the perfect opportunity to enjoy the sunlight and relax before the big day.

It was dipping in the crystal clear waters, sunbathing and enjoying the island life! On a private boat tour and exploring new beaches, it doesn’t get better than this.

Known for its vibrant hue, bougainvillea wedding flowers are a unique flower choice for any couple who wants to add native florals (or leaves, if we’re getting technical!) to their destination wedding. We have long been fans of these pretty petals with their incredibly bright colors, and long branches crowded with fluttery blooms that create interesting and unstructured shapes, that are perfect for a summer wedding in Symi. Beyza and Tomas tied the knot on an intimate ceremony on the little picture-perfect port of Symi, and it was beautiful as a postcard.

After the ceremony, the sky filled up with organic confetti and cheer as the couples excited among their friends and family. Well,  we could say it was heartwarming and tear-filled – the perfect summer moment.

We had arranged for local folk musicians to accompany the couple after their ceremony. We feel that in a country as musically rich as Greece, opting for local musicians to bring a touch of vintage to a wedding day is a must if it fits the concept. Music makes everything better!

Not just a showstopper on its own, bougainvillea also looks incredible when paired with other summer greenery like olive branches. Perfect for the Mediterranean and fresh style we were after, the dainty centerpieces were perfect for the decor of the dinner setting!

They say that no wedding is as bright and airy as on celebrated in the summertime and we agree. Beyza and Tomas celebrated in an authentic laid back yet sophisticated way, soaking up all the sunshine, all the love, all the salt water, all the love. We are so proud for being there, celebrating alongside them, pouring their Mediterranean vision into what is to us the perfect summer wedding in Symi!
